In May 2023, Norwind Gale was ready for delivery. This is the first of four CSOVs ships to be delivered from VARD. NW Offshore, a relatively newly established shipping company based in Ålesund, ordered the ships. The company's goal is to offer specialized vessels designed for advanced maritime operations in the development and service of the offshore wind sector.
The ship functions more like a floating hotel that transports people and parts of the equipment they use to build offshore wind farms, hence the importance of onboard comfort in choosing the furniture package. NW has selected top-of-the-line furniture to offer its guests the best comfort.
